A baby bird goes in search of his mother in this hilarious Beginner Book edited by Dr. Seuss. When a mother bird’s egg starts to jump, she hurries off to make sure she has something for her little one to eat. But as soon as she’s gone, out pops the baby bird. He immediately sets off to find his mother, but not knowing what she looks like makes it a challenge. The little hatchling is determined to find his mother, even after meeting a kitten, a hen, a dog, and a Snort. The timeless message of the bond between mother and child make P. D. Eastman’s Are You My Mother? a must for baby showers, beginning readers, and Mother’s Day.

Reviews
"My toddler has loved this book since she was 1, she's 3 now and still loves it. I also love the board books because they are durable. The board books are a shortened version of the hardcover books but it works great for babies and young toddlers who don't have the attention span for too much text."

"This book, adapted (or so it seems to me) from the original version, was an excellent gift for my 18 month old son. He can play with the lost bird, touch the varying textures in the book, and stuff it in his backpack whenever we're going places. As an added personal benefit, he can also "accidentally" shove it in my face without the painful side effects of a traditional board book. Would buy again."

"This is my son's favorite book. It is also this 39 year old's favorite book. This board book is just a shortened version of the larger one."

"As a Special Education teacher, I have been working hard to get my students to read basic sightwords. Now, they can apply what they have learned into reading a real book! Page to page this book is fun and provides them with loads of sight word practice! My students were so proud that they were able to read this book from cover to cover without a problem!"

"I love this book. It's been around for a long time and it seems to become more pertinent and more charming and comforting as time goes on. I just bought it for my new granddaughter, who has parents and grandparents from three different continents. Being a mother is a huge task to live up to. What this book means to me is that there's nothing more precious than trying to justify the faith your children place in you."

"I honestly don't know why I love this book so much. I memorized it when I was two. I would read it all the time until I started to read chapter style books. Every time someone has a baby I send them a copy. Some thing about this book struck me as fun when I was a child and I keep trying to share that magic with other kids today. I was reading it to my son and he was also interested in this little confused bird's journey of trying to figure out the world around him and how somethings are the same and different from him as a tries to find his mother."

"A favorite classic, in a smaller, more durable version. Happy with the price for the purchase. Could have been a little bit bigger as it is a board book - however no quality is compromised due to size."
